Soon after, he went on to release the ‘first full-length rap album’.And, this was almost a decade after Panjabi MC introduced the genre of ‘Desi Hip Hop’ to the world. Now, another decade or so later, the industry is heating up. Screw global warming, Desi Hip Hop’s set to make the summer as hot as the desert in the Emirates!<\/p>\n

\"mostviewedvids\"<\/a>It’s funny to see how much progress Desi Hip Hop’s made over the years. Bohemia’s released his fourth studio album, and Panjabi MC released his seventeenth! They are no longer surrounded by random Desi rappers, but Desi rappers who stand for Desi Hip Hop. With a plethora of artists, comes a flood of fans and listeners. So, I wanted to check out how many views some of these top music videos added up to.<\/p>\n

While compiling this list of Top 10 Most Viewed Desi Hip Hop videos, I selected one song from each artist. Since artists like Honey Singh, and Jay Sean have numerous Top videoswith millionsof views, it’d just be way too repetitive, and not competitive! So one video (the most viewed one), from one artist. From Humble’s Baagi Music to Lazarus, all the way to Honey Singh and Bohemia, it’s a lot of great videos. And a lot of high views. It seems like Imran Khan’s Amplifier duped Honey Singh’s High Heels. But the top three was no surprise really. British-Sri Lankan M.I.A. is not only amazing, but Paper Planes <\/em>is also a source for other Hip Hop hits – like Jay Z and T.I.’s “Swagger Like Us”<\/em> featuring Lil Wayne and Kanye West. And, at number 1, Jay Sean’s hit single with Lil Wayne will always remain one of the most famous songs by a Desi Artist.<\/p>\n
