Not only with dope rappers, producers, and all that, but now with the <em>queen (s) of the crop &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>as we witness the rise of the Female MCs from South Asia.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/catchpunit?pnref=story\" target=\"_blank\">Punit<\/a><\/strong> recently linked up with<a href=\"http:\/\/desihiphop.com\/?s=kauratan\" target=\"_blank\"> <strong>Kauratan<\/strong><\/a> &amp;<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/desihiphop.com\/?s=sikander+kahlon\" target=\"_blank\">Sikander Kahlon<\/a><\/strong> to drop <strong>Bad Girl<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/desihiphop.com\/?s=kauratan\" target=\"_blank\">Kauratan<\/a><\/strong> is a female rapper who is all about breaking stereotypes and making waves in the industry. As Hip Hop grows extensively all over South Asia, it&#8217;s the female rappers who can bring light to experiences through the power of Hip Hop. Punit also made sure to include Sikander Kahlon, one of the hottest rising artists in India right now. She even told us about her verse\u00a0from the\u00a0latest track she featured in, which is\u00a0called\u00a0&#8216;<em>Bad Girl&#8217; . <\/em>The song is by Punit<em>\u00a0<\/em>in, which Kauratan\u00a0is featuring\u00a0 along with rapper Sikandar Kahlon<em>. <\/em>Go through the interview to know more and enjoy the track!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHH &#8211;\u00a0What got you into hip hop?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have been close to Hip Hop music from very long. I was part of the street dancing team of my college. That is how Hip Hop music happened to me. But what really got me into writing was the amalgamation of our own language ( Punjabi &amp; Hindi) \u00a0to it, which is popularly known as Desi Hip Hop.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-13847 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/desihiphop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/11790370_10207372740142465_1723673565_o-187x300.jpg\" alt=\"11790370_10207372740142465_1723673565_o\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jcsoftwaresolution.com\/desihiphop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/11790370_10207372740142465_1723673565_o-187x300.jpg 187w, https:\/\/jcsoftwaresolution.com\/desihiphop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/11790370_10207372740142465_1723673565_o.jpg 621w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 187px) 100vw, 187px\" \/>DHH &#8211;\u00a0I&#8217;ve read that apart from rapping you&#8217;re into belly dancing as well, so who all are your inspirations?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shakira and Meher Malik have been my main inspirations when it comes to belly dancing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHH &#8211;\u00a0\u00a0Being an Indian kid we comparatively face so much if we do something out of the way, being a girl doing it is even tougher in majority of cases. What all did you face while growing up as an artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oh yes I have faced way too much as I am from a small city- Meerut. Society is the only issue my family always had. At times I have buried my aspirations because of that but I did not want to feel guilty within myself by the end, therefore I decided not to care.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHH &#8211;\u00a0What is your track &#8216;<em>Bad Girl&#8217;<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0all about?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bad Girl is Punit&#8217;s track. Sikander and I have a verse on it. Bad Girl is actually the first track I ever recorded. My verse on it is all about\u00a0me as a person, regarding my likes and dislikes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHH &#8211;\u00a0What does hip hop mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hip Hop to me is freedom. Freedom to express whatever way you want. Freedom to be your own self.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHH &#8211;\u00a0Making tracks for fun is one of the main mantras artists follow these days, what&#8217;s your take on making a track on a serious issue? Do you ever wish to make one?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Definitely. In fact <em>Invasion<\/em> was also not a fun track.
